We take data protection seriously and will collect, process and use all personal data in accordance with any applicable data protection laws.

Responsible Authority and General Information

Halfbit GmbH (Am Klumbengarten 2, 68239 Mannheim) is a company registered in Germany (Local Court Mannheim, HRB 726852) and, for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, the data controller. Throughout the following privacy policy we will refer to Halfbit GmbH as “we”, “us”, “our” and similar wording. This policy applies to mobile applications “Settings Extended”, “Quicker” and “Quicker Free” available throught Google Play store. Statements relevant to a certain app only are noted separately. In this privacy policy the term “app” shall refer to the applications listed above, including their content, features and services.

Usage of App Permissions

Due to the nature of the apps, we request some system permissions to be able to controls system settings. Granted permissions are used wholly and exclusively for the purposes mentioned below:

• “GPS location”, “Control NFC”, “Bluetooth”, “Network connectivity”, “Wi-Fi”, “System Settings”, “Toggle sync”, “Read sync settings” permissions are used for getting and changing a status of the corresponding setting upon the user request;
• “Take picture and videos” permission is required for toggling LED flashlight on and off;
• “Directly call phone numbers” permission is required when a user wants to make a call by clicking on a “Direct call” shortcut;
• “Vibration” permission enables haptic feedback (a vibration) when used toggles a switch;
• “Run at startup” permission allows adding notification to the system status bar automatically, after the system reboots;
• “Expand/collapse status bar” permission is used for collapsing status bar after changing a setting;
• “Writing Secure Settings” permission is used for togglin GPS on and off on rooted devices. It has no effect on not rooted devices;

Collection and Processing of Personal Data

• “Quicker” app does not collect any kind of personal data;
• “Quicker Free” apps uses AdMob by Google service which may independently collect some personal data required for their advertising campaigns (please refer to section “Third Party Service” for more details);
• “Settings Extended” app uses Google Analytics service (please refer to section “Third Party Service” for more details). It anonymously collects data about the toggles user configured. This data is analysed and used for improving app’s quality. User can disable (opt out) this anonymous statistic in the app’s settings page at any time.

Transfer of Data to Third Parties

In principle, we do not transfer personal data to third parties. In some cases our own data processing takes place through external service providers (please refer to section “Third Party Service” of this privacy policy), which have been chosen by us to process data pursuant to our instructions. Such service providers are legally obliged to comply with our instructions regarding the processing of data in accordance with the strict requirements of applicable data protection laws and they may not use the data for any other purposes.

Data Exchange with App-Platforms

As you know, apps of third parties (such as Google Play) can be used to download the app. During this type of downloading, data is usually exchanged, and the details of such exchange will be determined by the respective platform provider. As a result of this exchange, we may also receive data. We will only use this data within the legally admissible scope of which it is provided to us.

Third Party Service

AdMob by Google is an advertisment service used for app monitization. For more details of AdMob’s privacy policy please visit http://www.google.com/admob/. Google Analytics is a serive used for collecting app’s usage statistics. We only use this data for improving our apps. Collected data gets collected, transferred and stored by Google. Your Consent By using our applications, you are consenting to our processing of your data as set forth in this privacy policy now and as amended by us from time to time.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You are advised to consult this privacy policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes. You can check the history of this policy below.
